    The Hoop Dreams Classic was a major success - over 50 teams from NC, SC, GA, AL played in a competitive event. The Special guests this year were the Alabama Tigers 17u, 15u, 14u Boys teams. CBC was the first AAU Club in Charlotte to host games at Rocky River HS - one of the nicest gyms in the area. Thank you to all the teams that played this weekend - we hope you had a great time and your team will come back for "Hoop Dreams Classic 2012".

    Coach Carter has been named the new Director for our High School Girls division for the 2011 AAU Season. Coach Carter has been with Phoenix South for two years and Coached our 16u D2 Team last season. Coach Carter has over 30 years of basketball experience - he has coached at all levels - MS, HS and College. Coach Carter is also the Girls Head Coach at Charlotte Christen School. We are very excited to have Coach Carter lead our HS Girls program next season.

    Phoenix South and the Charlotte Heat have agreed on the merge that would combine the two Clubs going into the 2011 AAU Season. The Charlotte Heat currently has 2 Boys teams (14u, & 17u). The merge will allow Charlotte Heat Coaches and Players access to all the training, events and exposure that Phoenix South offers. We're really excited that the Charlotte Heat family will be joining us.

    Phoenix South and CBA Bulldogs have agreed on the merge that would combine the two Clubs going into the 2011 AAU Season. The CBA Bulldogs currently have 3 Boys teams (12u, 14u, & 16u). The merge will allow CBA players access to all the training, events and exposure that Phoenix South offers. We're really excited that the CBA family will be joining us.

    Coach Jennifer Baker father Allan Baker passed away July 28th 2010 at 10:20pm of terminal cancer. Please keep Coach Baker in your prayers,

    These are the following arrangements for Coach Baker's father.
     
    The Wake is on Sun. 5 -8pm
    Funeral Mon. 10am (Both will take place at St. Mary's Episcopal Church 41 Park Street Manchester CT 06040)
     
    All arrangements are being handled by Holmes Funeral Home.
